What is your role at Kleinhenn?
I’ve been with the company for over 30 years. I search out groups that would be a good fit with Kleinhenn programs and do my best to help them succeed in their fundraising effort. I provide information, individualized award programs, assistance with any specialized needs, presentations, cover letters, and new ideas. I help them access any and all services we at Kleinhenn offer to our client/friends.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Professionally, I enjoy seeing my school groups succeed and be able to take the field trips, buy the computers and provide educational materials that are needed in our schools. As a former school teacher, I want our children to have the best opportunities available.
Personally, Kleinhenn has given me the freedom to take care of my client/friends in a respectful and honest way, with the customer needs coming first. Working with Kleinhenn has allowed me to be in charge of and responsible for my work. I work out of my home office and determine my own schedule to take care of my client/friends and still remain close to my family.
Where are you from?
I have lived on our family farm in Pike County, Illinois for almost 40 years. We are located about half way between Quincy, Illinois and St. Louis, MO. I do want to confirm that you do not “own” a farm. It owns you.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like walking the half mile to our pond in the early morning. I like vegetable gardening and have raised and processed much of my own food since living on the farm. I have loved dogs since I was a child and on the farm we generally have 3-5 dogs. We have had several Great Danes over the years and a number of dogs that could be considered rescues. In the summer my humming bird feeders are full of hundreds of birds. I also delight in feeding Baltimore Orioles. Seeing their bright orange and black coloring never fails to amaze me. I am an avid reader of current events, fiction, and most everything else. For the first time, I have a grandson that lives close and it has been delightful to watch him grow and learn.
